As a marketing manager in the AEC world, you are responsible for so much more than proposal development.  You are a resource for marketing, business development, technical and executive staff – driving marketing efforts through planning, budgeting and strategic pursuits.  SMPS St. Louis is connecting marketing managers with industry veterans to help you discover the latest trends and best practices to help you and your firm excel.  Each hour-long forum will include a casual, interactive presentation followed by discussion.  This series is for marketing managers with 5+ years of experience in the industry.

    Topics include:

Wednesday, March 31:  Money, Money, Money:  Setting a Marketing & BD Budget
Amanda Bohnert, CPSM, Chief Marketing Officer | S. M. Wilson & Co.
There are many different ways to set-up and manage a marketing and BD budget. In this interactive session, we will address budgeting tactics and best practices. How can the budget be structured? How is it managed? What creative tools can you use? Join Amanda Bohnert, CPSM for a discussion on best practices.

    Wednesday, April 14:  Energizing Sellers/Doers
Michelle Yates, APR, FSMPS, EDAC, Director of Marketing | Lawrence Group
The marketing department works with all levels of the organization and can play a unique role in helping energize seller/doers. What are they trying to accomplish? What motivates them? What tools do they need? What are some creative ways to show appreciation? Join SMPS Fellow Michelle Yates to share ideas to help seller/doers position themselves and the company for success.
